The Status area of the Full Menu contains features that are typically used by reservations or front desk personnel.
The Status area commands allow you to access information regarding the status and availability of rooms at the selected property. Several of these commands may also be found in the Quick Menu, depending on the exact set up your Property has configured for use.
The Status area includes the following features:
Room Availability: The Room Availability Chart displays a grid of all of the room types and the number of those room types that are available each day based on a specified Date range. This date range can be altered as desired, and the Room availability Chart can be PRINTED showing up to 30 days, or 21 days with rates.
Departures Report: The Departures Report allows you to enter search criteria and view the guests who are due to depart on a specific day.
Room Rack: The Room Rack screen displays all of the rooms in room order (as set up in the Managers Configuration) with the status, room type and condition of the room.
Room Chart: The Room Chart provides a graphical representation of your rooms in-house/availability with the room numbers and the guests or work orders that are in the room for a specified date or date range.
Room Map: The Room Map, sometimes known as the Site Map, is currently only used for Campgrounds, and is a graphical representation of the RV Sites, similar to the Room Chart.
Room Scan: The Room Scan feature generates a report that shows the status and condition of rooms, room features and room locations by room type.
Set Rooms OOO or DNS: This screen allows you to set a room as Out of Order or Do Not Sell in order to take the room out of the list of rooms available to assign to a guest.
Set Room Condition: The Set Room Condition feature allows you to change the Housekeeping Condition of the Room (Dirty, Picked Up, Clean or Inspected).
Show House Status: This report, the House Status Report, shows the status for both bedded and non-bedded rooms at your Property on today's system date.
Reports =>: The Reports link in the Status area provides access to the reporting functionality of Skyware Systems. The Reports Menu screen is divided into four sections, comprising of Room, Revenue, Manager and Other Report sections, with each containing commands for running different types of reports.
Help: Clicking on this command will take you to the Skyware Systems Help Overview page, where you can look at or search for any Help topic in the system. You CANNOT configure the Help system, but you can use it for help in configuring the rest of your system.
Documentation: Clicking on this command will take you to Skyware Systems Documentation notes, including Current Version, sources for help in all setup aspects of Skyware Systems, and a link to Skyware Newswire.
Note: these two options are also available on the Manager's Commands menu, on the Property and System Configuration menu and the Housekeeping menu.
